Very few Keymaster setups still exist for Cinderella, and this is one of the most beautiful. This image was filmed and can be seen when Cinderella is surprised by the mice with a dress for the ball. This piece was put together by the Art Props department and most likely given as a gift by Walt Disney to someone who visited the studio. Art props pieces had to represent the film in the best possible light and the Disney artists made sure each piece was exceptional. You may notice the white smoke from the burnt match, added by the Artists to complete the image.
The background was done by Claude Coats. Claude is best known as the background painter who painted many of the Pinocchio backgrounds of the toyshop. In fact there is a painting he did for Pinocchio of a candle that is quite similar in design to this.
